My go-to exercises are what I call the ‘BIG 4’: Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press, and Chin-up. The ‘BIG 4’ represents the cornerstone of strength training, each exercise targeting key muscle groups to maximise overall strength and muscular development.
The Squat is a compound movement targeting the lower body, primarily the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes.
The Deadlift primarily targets the posterior chain, including the hamstrings, glutes, and lower back.
The Bench Press is a classic upper body exercise focusing on the chest, shoulders, and triceps.
The Chin-up is a challenging upper body exercise primarily targeting the back, biceps, and forearms.
